Essential French Adjectives and Adverbs
Getting Started
Adjectives and adverbs turn your French from noun-list level to real expression. With these words, you describe opinion, feeling, frequency, and detail — making speaking answers longer and more natural. In TEF/TCF speaking, these words make the difference.
Note: Gurmukhi pronunciation is approximate. French adjective endings are often silent; confirm with real audio.

Adjectives describe nouns: une maison grande. Adverbs describe verbs/adjectives/sentences: très grande, il parle lentement.
Why does 'C'est' keep masculine adjectives?
For generic opinion, fixed masculine forms like 'C'est bon, C'est difficile' are standard. For direct feminine nouns, adjectives agree: La maison est grande.
Do all adjectives get -e in the feminine?
No. Some do: grand/grande. Others stay the same: difficile. Some are irregular: beau/belle.
