This Privacy Policy explains how FrenchPunjabi ("we", "us") handles information when you visit frenchpunjabi.com.

Information we collect

We do not require you to create an account, and there is nothing to sign up for. You can read every lesson, use every tool and play every practice game without giving us any information at all. If you email us, we hold that email only to reply to you and to check any correction you reported; it is not added to a mailing list.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which lessons are useful. This may involve aggregate, non-identifying data about pages visited.

Advertising and cookies

This site is supported by display advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Where required by law, we request consent before non-essential cookies are set.

Data stored in your browser

Some features remember things locally using your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your own device — it is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we cannot read it. We store five kinds of value, all prefixed fp_:

• fp_consent — whether you accepted or declined non-essential cookies, so the banner does not ask again on every page.
• fp_lang — whether you last read lessons in Punjabi, English or Hindi, so the language switch remembers your preference.
• fp_drill_… — your progress in the practice games: which words you have answered correctly, your current and best streak, and the date you last played. No personal information is involved, so this is not covered by the consent banner.
• fp_path_… — which lessons you have ticked off on a learning pathway. Practice steps are not stored here; they are worked out from your fp_drill_… progress instead.
• fp_streak — how many days in a row you have finished a practice session, and the date of the most recent one.

None of these identify you, so none of them are covered by the consent banner. You can erase all of it at any time by clearing site data for frenchpunjabi.com in your browser settings; each practice game has its own "Reset my progress" button and each pathway has a "Clear my ticks" button. Clearing it loses your saved progress but breaks nothing.

The practice dashboard also lets you download your fp_drill_…, fp_path_… and fp_streak values as a JSON file, and restore them later — on this device or another one. That file is generated and read entirely in your browser; it is never uploaded anywhere, including to us.

Your choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where shown, through our consent banner. You may ask us to delete any email you have sent us by writing to [email protected].
