About FrenchPunjabi

FrenchPunjabi is a free resource for Punjabi speakers learning French — whether to earn points toward Canadian permanent residency, extend a work permit, or simply learn a beautiful language. Every concept is explained plainly in Punjabi, with clear French examples.

Why this site exists

Most French courses teach through English, which adds a second barrier for Punjabi speakers. French is also one of the highest-leverage skills for Canadian immigration — reaching CLB 7 can add up to 50 CRS points, and French category-based Express Entry draws often have far lower cutoffs than general rounds. Yet almost no one teaches French in Punjabi, for free. This site fills that gap.

Who writes the lessons

Lessons are written and reviewed by Puneet Kumar — a Toronto-based learner who navigated the Canadian immigration system firsthand and studied French toward the TEF Canada and TCF Canada exams. Learning French as a Punjabi speaker, entirely through English-language courses, is what made the gap obvious: the grammar was hard enough without a second language in the way. Every lesson here is the explanation I wish I'd had, written in the language I actually think in.

This is not an auto-generated content mill. Each lesson is written by hand, explained in Punjabi with real French examples, and dated so you can see exactly when it was last reviewed.

A note on accuracy

FrenchPunjabi is educational content only. It is not affiliated with IRCC or any government body, and nothing here is immigration or legal advice. Always confirm current requirements on official government sources before making decisions.
