French Animals Vocabulary: Pets, Farm Animals and Canadian Wildlife
Getting Started
Animals come up more often than you’d expect: talking about your pet, a trip to a farm, a news story about wildlife, or just reading road signs in Canada. Animal words are also behind some of the most common French expressions.
A note on plurals: un animal → des animaux, un cheval → des chevaux, un oiseau → des oiseaux. The -al → -aux and -eau → -eaux rules from Noun Gender and Plurals apply here.
