For Express Entry’s full 50 CRS points, you need CLB 7 in all four skills. Reading (Compréhension écrite) is often the most “scoreable” section — with the right strategy, you can score well here.
Section Structure
- Time: About 60 minutes
- Questions: About 40 (multiple choice)

Timing Strategy
40 questions, 60 minutes = roughly 1.5 minutes per question. But not all questions are equal:
- First 20 questions: easy — do them fast (~1 minute each) — save time here.
- Use saved time for harder questions.
- Never spend more than 2 minutes on one question — mark and move on.
